Working through local institutions, Starbucks is focused on turning Ramadan gatherings into meaningful community support across the country

Starbucks, operated by Alshaya Group, is supporting communities across Kuwait this Ramadan through a program that turns local partnerships into practical assistance, from food support to community-led engagements throughout the holy month.

In collaboration with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, the program includes food box distribution to nearly 500 families registered with Red Crescent, alongside Starbucks-led date-and-water iftar distributions. In parallel, Starbucks is partnered with the Ministry of Social Affairs on Ramadan community moments including 300 iftar meals for children of different age groups.

The program builds on a month‑long regional initiative supporting families and communities across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan through partners including Emirates Red Crescent, the Saudi Food Bank, and Isnad. Collectively, these efforts aim to deliver more than 1,250 food boxes and 500 iftar meals to families and children across the region. Starbucks’ partners are playing a pivotal role in bringing these initiatives to life through responsible volunteerism, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to strengthening community ties alongside trusted local partners.

“Ramadan is a moment that calls for action, not statements,” said Saleh Alshaya, President, Starbucks at Alshaya Group. “Across our markets, we work through trusted local partners to ensure support reaches people in ways that are practical, respectful and rooted in real community needs. These efforts reflect an ongoing commitment - not a seasonal campaign - to showing up where it matters.”

Starbucks worked with humanitarian organizations, social institutions, and community groups to deliver essential food support throughout Ramadan. The initiatives centered on practical assistance, including food box deliveries, meal distributions, and community-focused activities during the month.

These efforts are not short-term campaigns, but part of Starbucks’ ongoing commitment to community impact - rooted in local partnerships and delivered in ways that prioritize dignity and meaningful outcomes.
