Aura League U20 Players Recognised at a Special Awards Ceremony Hosted by Alshaya Group

Aura, Alshaya Group’s award-winning loyalty programme, held a special closing ceremony honouring players of the Aura League U20. Formed in 2025 in partnership with the Kuwait Football Association (KFA), the league's celebratory event was attended by KFA Vice President, Ayman Al-Husseini, Humood Alshaya from Alshaya Group, senior KFA officials, sports leaders, and media representatives at the Alshaya headquarters in Burj Alshaya.

Commenting on the occasion, Humood Alshaya, Alshaya Group, said: “Today, we celebrate local sporting achievements and honour the athletes whose hard work and excellence defined this action-packed season. Recognising their talent reflects our deep commitment to empowering youth, advancing the local sports community, and leveraging the power of sports to build more connected societies. Through the Aura League, we are proud to champion young Kuwaiti athletes who embody the values of discipline, integrity, and dedication.”

The fruitful partnership follows other initiatives under Alshaya Group’s community engagement efforts including Starbucks’s sponsorship of the KFA Referee Academy, reinforcing the Group’s shared vision of supporting youth and sports development across the region.

Ayman Al-Husseini, praised the transformative impact of the association's ongoing partnership with Alshaya Group and Aura following a highly successful season.

"This partnership has significantly elevated the level of competition among teams and players," said Al Husseini. "The extensive media coverage, including televised broadcasts and the recognition of 'Best Player' awards after each round, has brought unprecedented energy to the game."

Concluding his remarks, the KFA Vice President congratulated the season's top three teams and winners: champions Al-Qadsia, runners-up Kazma, and third-place finishers Al-Sahel. Also recognized were top performers of the 2025-26 season: Abdullah Al-Qarzai – Best Player in the Ooredoo League, Sulaiman Al-Msarri – Al Sahel - Best Goalkeeper in the Ooredoo League, and Bandar Al-Azmi – Kuwait SC player -Top Scorer of the Ooredoo League.

Through a shared vision to elevate football standards across Kuwait, this partnership successfully ensured the sport's integrity remained strong while providing players with the platform and recognition they deserved.

Since its launch in 2022, Aura has grown into a premier loyalty programme with over 8 million members across the region. The programme was recently honoured for the third consecutive year at the International Loyalty Awards as the Best International Loyalty Programme in the Middle East.
