Alshaya hosts Tajikistan President at The Avenues

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr Emomali Rahmon, was the guest of honour at a lunch in The Avenues with several leading Kuwaiti business figures this week, at the invitation of Mohammed Alshaya, the Executive Chairman of M. H. Alshaya Co.

Mr Rahmon, who was on an official visit to Kuwait, was accompanied by the Tajik Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr Zubaydov Zubaydullo Najotovic.

Commenting on the event, Mohammed Alshaya said: "We were delighted to welcome President Emomali Rahmon, and enjoyed cordial and constructive discussions with him. As a regional neighbour, we discussed many potential areas of business collaboration and areas of mutual benefit."

Mr Rahmon's visit follows a programme in December 2015 by the Honourable Shukurjon Zuhurov, Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan, who was welcomed to the Alshaya family Diwan during his official visit to Kuwait.
