About the Collection

Next's AW 13 women's collection recreates the punk and rock chic vibe seen across the Autumn Winter catwalks with this season's must-have checks and tartan combined with leather and denim. Splashes of red add colour to a darker palette of greys and black.

The Next range helps spruce up the casual style with checks and tartan on chunky cardigans and jumpers in a range of colours. Denim shirts are worn with cord minis, pencil skirts and trousers to create a chic 70s vibe.

The new range has prints and patterns adapted for a more formal look in smart blazers worn with soft printed shirts and tailored trousers. Leather adds an injection of catwalk chic on trims and sleeves, or full on with dresses and pencil skirts. You will see the season's big colour, navy, teamed with tan and red across fitted dresses, formal peplum tops and pencil skirts. Make the look bolder by adding large floral prints.

DRESS TO IMPRESS with this season's occasionwear. Lace is a prominent fabric; opt for pencil skirts, tunics and dresses in lilac, berry tones or classic black. Embellishment is key and can be styled delicately with jewelled trims or in a dramatic way with dresses covered in sequins. For evening footwear, ankle straps are a must-have detail seen on stilettos, mary-janes and sandals in an array of colours and prints.

So whether your style is punk chic or true ladylike glamour, Next has the fashion season covered beautifully.

Next's AW 13 men's collection is inspired by the heritage of British tailoring but with a modern twist. Introducing the key pieces, catwalk inspired grey-on-grey is presented with a focus on the return of the three piece suit.

From light denim shades right through to bright saturated indigo, blue is the big colour trend of the season. From tailoring to knitwear and conversational prints, this hue is seen on everything from patterned shirts to retro running shoes.

Graphic and collegiate patterns in a black and white palette with touches of colour introduce a fresh take on casual wear. Checks, fairisle prints and quilting feature on laid-back shirts and sweaters, as well as chunky knitwear. Team with classic hiking boots and a beanie hat for an off-duty look.

As the autumn leaves start to fall, Next Children come out to play.

Girls will be leaping head first into this season's hottest trend, a mixture of quirky conversational designs with unexpected colour twists. Secret pockets and hidden inner details add to the playful theme. Colour takes an autumnal turn with warm toffee and caramel shades in chunky knitwear, paired with bursts of chilli red in prints and bunny motifs on T-shirts and jeans.

Want a hint of luxury style in your wardrobe? Little ladies will love a boutique collection that oozes mini me designer looks. Saddle up and embrace the equestrian theme by layering ditsy floral shirts with quilted gilets and corduroy trousers. Embellished sequined stars on T-shirts, floral print pleated skirts and studded ankle boots take this trend from day to night.

Femininity is still the go-to trend with soft tumbled cotton basics with lace details and delicate butterfly prints that give this collection a distinctly pretty feel. With a minimal colour palette of cool greys, black and cream this is the perfect monochrome story.

For the boys it's all about being the cheeky jock in casual denims with varsity jackets and letterman tees. Onesies with high top trainers make for a quirky statement. Bursts of royal blue, plum and post box red give an injection of colour to polo shirts and cable knits. Think true preppy style with a dash of heritage tradition, and dress to impress to be the coolest dude in town.

The little master adventurer can wrap up warm in cosy knitwear and matching accessories in earthy tones of ochre, rust and khaki green. Graphics on T-shirts are fun and humorous to create a young and light-hearted story. Bold chinos add a pop of colour, while fur lined wax jackets and leather boots keep this trend practical.

Boys will be strumming their air guitars in style this autumn with grunge and music influences. Edgy graphics and band T-shirts worn underneath stylish leather jackets and skinny jeans encompass the look. Colour is simple with limited tones of grey, black, white and subtle hints of khaki to give a utility feel.
