Dubai, UAE, 24 May 2013: Logix, the Dubai based 50,000m2 Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) owned and operated by M.H.Alshaya Co., has been recognised at an annual Dubai Customs’ ceremony for its achievements in the successful management of its logistics and supply chain operation.
Dubai is leading distribution hub for the region and Logix was one of five logistics operations recognised by Dubai Customs, a government depart of the emirate of Dubai, for its contribution and support. Alshaya was recognised in two award categories; Retail and Logistics, for its successful implementation of international logistics and customs standards in partnership with Dubai Customs. The customs administration cited the team’s successful development of customer services, use of resources, simplification of procedures as well as its consistently effective management of in and out bound shipment volumes, shipment containers and compliance to regulations.
Commenting on the recognition, Tony Arnold, Senior Vice President of Logistics at Alshaya said, "We work extremely hard to ensure our logistics and distribution operations are of the highest international standards.
