Williams-Sonoma makes Middle East debut in partnership with M.H.Alshaya

Premier Speciality Retailer of High Quality Products for the Kitchen and Home Opens in Grand Avenue, The Avenues in Kuwait

Kuwait, 21 November 2012: The first Williams-Sonoma brand retail store outside North America opened this month in partnership with M. H. Alshaya. The new 11,000 square-foot store is located in Grand Avenue, The Avenues in Kuwait, and will feature everything customers need to create the kitchen of their dreams and to entertain guests in style.

The new Williams-Sonoma store in Kuwait includes exciting interactive features that will engage customers’ sense of taste, touch and smell. A newly designed, modern kitchen will be a focal point of the store, where chefs and culinary experts will regularly conduct product demonstrations, technique lessons and cooking classes so customers can experience firsthand how to recreate the flavors and aromas with Williams-Sonoma products at home. Demonstration stations and product experts will be on-hand throughout the store, helping customers to make the right choices for their needs and allowing them to test and use the latest cooking utensils, electronic appliances, cookware and cutlery.

Exclusively designed by Williams-Sonoma, the Williams-Sonoma Home collection features a casual yet sophisticated and elegant style.

In 2010, M.H. Alshaya, the leading international retail franchise operator, partnered with Williams-Sonoma Inc. to launch the first franchise operation of Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids stores in the Middle East. This relationship has extended to include the Williams-Sonoma brand, which will launch for the first time outside North America, in Kuwait.
