KidZania welcomes Nissan Al-Babtain as its newest marketing partner

Kuwait, 21 October, 2012: KidZania Kuwait, operated by leading retail franchise operator M.H. Alshaya Co., is delighted to welcome Nissan, operated in Kuwait by Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Co., as the latest partner to join the highly awaited edutainment center. Nissan, one of the largest automakers in the world, will be sponsoring both the Car Dealership and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in KidZania Kuwait.

Nissan’s partnership with KidZania Kuwait will enable children to learn about the automotive world, the importance of traffic safety and regulations and the opportunity to role play as either a car salesperson or as a customer looking to buy a car.

An exciting part of this establishment is the scaled down showroom which will feature a Nissan 370Z model car. Children, acting as a salesperson, will learn about the features and specifications of the Nissan 370Z and will use their new knowledge to sell the benefits of the car to children who are role-playing customers. In addition to learning about Nissan’s history and cars, children will also be able to use state of the art computers to custom-design and configure their very own Nissan car.

Through simulators at Nissan’s DMV establishment, children will be taught basic driving skills and regulations, the importance of wearing seat belts, road signs and traffic light sequences, all through the use of fun electric cars.  Once they have passed a simulated driving test, children will receive their Nissan branded driver’s license, which they can then use to drive in KidZania’s driving streets.

Commenting on the partnership with KidZania, Mohammed Shalaby, COO, Al-Babtain Group – the sole appointed agent for Nissan Motors Co. in Kuwait – said: “Entering into a partnership agreement with KidZania highlights the importance of our shared role in engaging with the youth in Kuwait and supporting their growth at such a critical time during their educational development. It is important that we provide children with various channels through which they can gain practical experience in a stimulating and entertaining environment. Our sponsorship of the Nissan Establishment within KidZania will encourage critical thinking skills through practical lessons on the various functions of auto design and sales. In addition, we will be able to promote traffic safety – a key issue in Kuwait today - at an early age.”

Children will be able to experience Nissan’s all encompassing automotive establishments when KidZania Kuwait opens to visitors in the highly anticipated Phase III extension of The Avenues.
